Project: Social Media Action Plan Chart

This project should take you approximately three hours. Using the information from the last two lessons, along with the example below, create a chart that summarizes the following information. You may want to use a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for more space.

• Your social media accounts/blogs (go back five years).
• Are they active or inactive?
• Check and adjust the privacy settings.
• Evaluate the negatives of each account, and provide some notes (no details, please!). Does it violate any of the principles we explored in this lesson?
• Evaluate the positives of each account, and provide some notes. Have you included photos/posts that portray your interests, positive characteristics, and activities?
• Create a short-term plan for improving the account.
• Create a long-term plan for improving the account.
• Implement your short-term plan.

You may keep your settings to the levels upon which you have already agreed with a family member.)

• Sample positive notes: "I talked about the time I visited the children's cancer center. I have some friends who are in the medical field, but I could add more."
• Sample short-term plan: "Delete negative posts and pictures. Ask Myra for her photos from the Future Doctors' event."
• Long-term plan: "Ask my supervisor to take photos of me while I'm volunteering, and then post those. Ask my supervisor if I can send her a 'Friend Request' on Facebook."
