Group Assignment: The following assignment is designed as a partial fulfillment of the course Strategic Management. As a requirement for the assignment, you are requested to form a group containing 5 students and present a term paper. You will present your assignment in the class depending up on the availability of time and make sure that you all will participate in the project. The total points allotted for the project will be divided between the content of your paper and your individual presentation. Questions 1. Define the following terms along with their unique characteristics; o Mission o Objective o Vision o Strategy 2. Briefly discuss about SWOT analysis 3. Select a local company around your residence and conducts a mini SWOT analysis and presents the result of the analysis. o Brief report on the company's background o SWOT analysis 4. Assess the competition level of the industry the company belongs to by using Michael Porter's five forces model of competition. Your report has to fulfill the following contents; o Cover page: Name of the institution, your department, title of the assignment, student name, instructor's name and submission date. o Table of content: The table of content should follow the title page and will not be numbered Introduction: one page summary of the whole report e Literature on asked questions (question No. 1 & 2) Summary of the SWOT analysis result & competitive analysis made by using the five forces model of competition. e Bibliography e Appendix An appendix is optional.
