Based on one of your interests in psychology, complete the following steps.

1. Write a simple research hypothesis that can be tested using an experimental design
2. Identify your two variables and label the independent variable and the dependent variable (Independent variable: color of pen; Dependent variable: number of corrections)
3. Identify your control group and your experimental group (Control Group: green pen; Experimental Group: red pen)
4. Now think of a research question that could be tested using a non-experimental design such as a case study, naturalistic observation, or survey. Describe this study. (I survey students on the amount of sleep they have the night before the exam and their test scores. Then, I correlate the two together to see if sleeping affects how well they do on the test).
5. Identify at least one ethical issue that could be present in either study. (I would need to keep the students' names confidential).
