Proposal : Our group proposes to initiate a Community Garden Project aimed at promoting sustainable living and community engagement in our local area. The idea was conceived from observing the lack of green spaces within our community and the growing interest among residents in sustainable gardening and local food production. This project will involve identifying a suitable piece of land, designing the garden layout, organizing volunteer workdays for setting up the garden, and creating a schedule for maintenance and harvesting. The ultimate goal is to provide a shared space where community members can come together to grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers, promoting not only environmental sustainability but also a sense of community and well-being. We chose this project because it offers a tangible way to address several needs within our community, including improving access to fresh produce, enhancing mental health through gardening activities, and creating a sense of unity and cooperation among residents. Additionally, the project aligns with our interests in environmental sustainability and community development, providing us with a valuable opportunity to apply project management skills in a real-world setting. The Community Garden Project also offers scalability, allowing for future expansion or replication in other areas, thereby maximizing its impact.
