Please provide aProject quarterly status report. The project status report should follow the template below.
For this Project, we will assume we are 1 quarter, i.e. 3 months, into the execution of your project.
Project quarterly status report Template
Quarterly Summary:
[For this section you will want to provide an executive summary of what's occurred in the past quarter and certainly include whether the project is on target to meet its key delivery dates and budget objectives.(If not, be sure to include key reasons which you can elaborate on later in the report.) Key decisions to be made or asks of theexecstakeholders can be provided here as well. This section should be no longer than a half page but could be a paragraph depending on how succinct your team writes this section.]
Work Planned for this Quarter:
[What work was your team planning to accomplish for this quarter? This can be a bulleted list, table, or another brief way of sharing the information. This is a useful section to remind the stakeholders of what was promised or planning from the last status report.]
Project Status | Progress & Deviations from Work Planned:
[Highlight the accomplishments or any setbacks in this quarter's work and provide brief details that an executive audience would appreciate. Leverage those metrics that we're learning about in class to make the information meaningful and share both quantitative and qualitative impacts. (You may choose to link to your dashboard or include screenshots of it in your report.) Your group will want to think about how to share this information in a direct and easy-to-consume way, which is always a challenge in the corporate space today.Be sure to share how your group is tracking against the project baseline: scope, timeline,, and schedule!]
Change Request History:
[Include relevant information from your change log here.Think about using a table but perhaps omitting some irrelevant columns and linking to the full change log if one of your stakeholders wants to see more details themselves.]
Risk Register:
[Risk is going to be covered in more detail in Week 10 but I want your group to give it a shot to see how you might think through risks with the knowledge you have today and what risks you may be encountering in the first quarter of your project. For this section, you will be graded on effort not correctness.]
Id. | Description | Mitigation plan (what is being done to prevent the risk) | Contingency plan (what will be done if the risk occurs) | Likelihood of occurring (High, Medium, Low) | Potential impact to the Project |
Other:
[Are there any other relevant information or asks that you have for these stakeholders? If so, include it here.]
