Hello All, Empowerment to me is when we can have a choice in a given situation. When an individual has been empowered it can be a very difficult situation that can be rewarding. When I see others being empowered I can see this by seeing their decisions being implanted and how they work. I am a United Steelworker, and I was empowered by my boss to lead a group of steelworkers through a new procedure that I had done before at a different location. I felt good to be chosen and took the task. It was a great experience and I loves to share my knowledge. It was very rewarding. During this empowerment I took it seriously as they gave me a chance to teach others a new procedure.
