• Provide commentary on Store24's strategies - do you agree or disagree with the Ban Boredom strategy and its implementation? How about the fact that the firm uses these two strategies simultaneously?
• Various measures and other data are available for a variety of stores. Identify and describe the pros and cons associated with Store24's measurement system. What alternative measures / information would you want to address the key questions faced by Store24's upper management?
• Use a data-driven approach (i.e., regression analysis) to explore whether and to what extent Store24's strategies are an effective means to generate financial performance (i.e., controllable contribution).
  • Note: some of the available performance measures are "less than perfect." For example, there are limitations to the way in which strategy implementation is implemented. However, this should not preclude you from adopting a data-driven approach, given the information you have. Put another way, you cannot say "these measures are crap - I'm not doing the regression part of this case."
