The process that employees go through while working for a company is called the employee lifecycle. It covers everything from recruiting and onboarding to instruction and growth to performance management and dismissal. Throughout various phases of the employee lifecycle, different people play different roles and have different responsibilities. For example, managers are typically in responsible of performance management and training and development, while HR professionals are typically in responsible of hiring and onboarding new employees.
