Good Critical Thinking Article

In the article International Drug Trafficking: A Global Problem with a Domestic Solution by Jenner, all types of government directed programs have failed at curbing the violent drug traffickers (2011). The idea behind legalizing all drugs is that it would take the profit out of drug trafficking and put the control in the hands of the government. This article goes over the history of drug trafficking, the attempts to control drug trafficking, and lastly proposes the universal legalization of all drugs. This article comes off as a completely unbiased approach because it airs out the good the bad and the ugly of the situation. While I don't think its a good idea to legalize all drugs, it at least compares and contrasts past initiatives to control the drug problem and looks towards a new possible solution that has not been tested before. The amount of information presented gives the reader more than enough context to think on their own and make a decision based on the information given.

Poor Critical Thinking Article

Within the articleThe international drug warthere are no references listed which means that there was no given proof towards truth provided. For example, although it mentioned information that I know are facts, such as the war on drugs being developed 40-plus years ago and how laws are varied from location, state, and region, there was know given proof from outside sources. This is a demonstration towards weakness within the article. Also this article demonstrates information towards the individuals for universal legalization of drugs within the world, it does not uphold or establish facts or information towards the individuals whom are against universal legalization of drugs. Leading this article to be one sided, illustrating no curiosity within critical thinking and upholding emotional bias towards one side
