provide positive feedback on this:This relates to leadership because it allows others to know why certain decisions are being made. When looking at the school setting, if staff understand why someone on the school leadership team is working in education, they are able to empathize with that person and are more likely to support decisions that they make. This also guides the decision that the leader is making. For example, if a principal simply wanted to improve student achievement so that they could look good for the superintendent and land a district level job, staff are likely to see through that and may fail to buy in to the principal's ideas and initiatives for the school. Alternatively, if a principal believes that every student can succeed and show growth and the principal is in education to see students succeed and leave the school as better people, staff will likely notice this and would be more likely to follow the initiatives implemented by the principal. In doing so, student growth would occur. As the speaker stated at the end of the video, leaders are simply people who hold a position of power, but those who lead inspire others to follow them
