The bonds pay interest every June 30 and December 31, and the company uses the effective interest method of amortization. The market rate of interest at the time of issuance was 10%. On January 1, 2011, the company borrowed $100,000 by issuing a mortgage note payable in order to purchase a new warehouse. The mortgage note was for 40 years and carried a 9% rate of interest. The annual payments are $9,296. On April 1, 2011, the company issued another 30,000 shares of common stock at $6 per share. On October 31, 2011, the company purchased 10,000 shares of their common stock for $4 per share. On December 1, 2011, the company paid dividends of $50,000, which were declared in November.
