Psychology 216 Data Analysis 4 Andrzejewski 1 of 1 Psychology 216 Data Analysis 4 Data Analysis 4 Instructions and Guidelines Overview/Goal: to review and perform an analysis of data from a multiple-baseline, small-n design, utilizing graphical, numerical and descriptive summaries of data. (textbook pp. 383-386) Details: you should submit a brief report with figures answering the questions posed here. A teacher used a new teaching method for addressing two needs in her special education classroom: 1) word identification and 2) solving simple math problems. After assessment, she found that her four student's performances varied quite a bit. She elected to do a multiple baseline study, across both individuals and across behavior. The teacher reasoned that a reversal design would not be appropriate here because students are unlikely to "unlearn" the skills they learned in the prior phase during a return to baseline. Thus, she acquired baseline performance measures for both reading and math for each of the 4 students. #words: number of words correctly identified on a sample of 50 words on 10 min test #math: number of simple arithmetic problems solved correctly out of 50 on 10 min test When their baselines (BL) appeared stable, the teacher began the intervention (INT). She continued to collect test data, each session, for 30 total sessions. Individual data are presented below. Did the intervention work? How so? Are there any caveats? Any limitations?
