Psychopathic behaviors are apparent in individuals of all ages as these tendencies such as neglectfulness and manipulation can manifest as early as infancy. The brain is one of two major factors that causes the appearance of these traits as there is a region within it that determines how the person will interact with the public and people close to them. This region will have control over their executive functions which includes working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. These facets of brain functionality are responsible for how well someone can retain information for future use, the ability to think about an issue in a multitude of ways, and to stop oneself from committing dangerous acts on the whim.
