Purpose: One of the essential elements of understanding the importance of vision and mission statements and their impact on human resources management. The purpose of this assignment is to learn the challenges and opportunities listed in the vision and mission statements within the hospitality industry.

• Skills: As a result of this assignment, you will practice written communication.
• Knowledge: Students will gain knowledge of vision and mission statements in the many segments of the hospitality industry.

Task: In order to complete this assignment, you will execute the following.

1. Research and identify two different hospitality companies that have mission and vision statements displayed. You may not choose the same companies as from your Module 1 assignment. Some examples of hospitality segments you can select your company from include hotels, food & beverage operations, event companies, golf organizations, cruise lines, etc. Try to search for companies that perhaps you might be interested in working for one day. Share the company website URL links and the direct link to their mission/vision statements.
2. Share Mission and Vision Statements: Locate the mission and vision statement for both of your chosen companies and include them as part of your initial post. Make sure to include the pasted text in quotes and include a citation because the text is not written in your own words.
3. Compare the vision and mission statements you identified. Discuss how HR departments in each organization could use these statements in their daily operations.
