PURPOSE:You are tasked to obtain a s. 487 CC search warrant to enter a certain premise.

SCENARIO:

On today's date at 10:30 a.m. there was an armed robbery at a local convenience store. An unknown male entered the store wearing a yellow ski mask. The male produced a knife and a note ordering the clerk to give him cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets.The clerk complied with the male's demands. The clerk describes the knife used as a typical 6"-7" steak knife. The male then fled the store and was last seen running northbound up a side street.

At 10:36 a.m. uniform officers arrived on the scene and set up a perimeter. At 10:45 a.m. the K9 officers arrived and conducted a search. The K9 handler advises his service dog was able to quickly locate a scent and began tracking northbound.

At 10:55 a.m. the K9 officers followed the scent to a 3-storey apartment building where the track ended at apartment #3, on the ground floor. Along with uniform officers, the K9 officer knocked on the apartment door but received no answer. Shortly afterwards a male exited the apartment via a window and was arrested fleeing the scene. The male had nothing related to the incident with him and was very uncooperative. The male also punched a uniform officer in the head during the arrest.

Containment has been established on the apartment and no one else has entered or left the scene since the police arrived.You are assigned to the detective office and are tasked with obtaining a s.487 CC search warrant to enter the apartment located at 48 Street, Anytown, Ontario.
