SPSS: Correlation

A researcher wanted to know if there was a relationship between exercise and anxiety. Volunteers for this study were asked to log the number of minutes they exercised for a two week period and to rate their level of anxiety on a 10 point scale. Here are the average scores for each person.

Analyze the above data using the appropriate tool(s) in SPSS.

In a two page document, on page one insert the table(s) generated by SPSS.

On page two, identify the following with explanation:

• What is the average amount of time the participants spent exercising?
• What is the average level of anxiety?
• Describe the relationship between the two variables.
