Q2 A bimetallic strip is used in an electric breaker to trip the switch to interrupt the current flow. The strip is made up of yellow brass and invar bonded together at 30degree C. Both strips have a thickness of 0.3mm. The current will be interrupted at 100degree C. Calculate the radius of curvature at that point if the strip length is 6cm. Modulus of elasticity for Invar and yellow brass is 147 and 96.5 respectively. Consider thermal coefficient of expansion per degree C for Invar and yellow brass is 1.7E6 and 2.02E-5 respectively
