Q2. Refer to data set GREEK.EXE A study of local food and authenticity of restaurants in Greece was published in Research in Hospitality Management (Sep., 2019). Nine Greek restaurants participated in the study. Based on interviews with the restaurant managers, two variables were measured (each on a 10-point scale): perceived level of traditionalism and perceived level of adaptation to the guests' tastes. The data are shown in the accompanying table.
- Graph the data in a scatterplot. What type of trend, if any, do you observe?
- Based on the graph, is there one restaurant that had a higher than expected level of traditionalism given its perceived level of adaptation? Which one?
Now, the data are analyzed using XLSTAT, as correlation analysis shown below.
- Locate and interpret the coefficient of determination, on the printout.
- Locate and interpret the coefficient of correlation, r, on the printout.
- Conduct a test for linear correlation between perceived level of traditionalism and perceived level of adaptation at Use the p-value reported on the printout.
