Gears at B and D are dirven by the shaft and have resisting T= 275 N.m and T3 = 175 N.m respectively , acting in opposite direction to the torque T2 . Segments LBC = 500 mm, LCD = 400 mm and the shear modulus G = 80 GPa. Determine the maximum shear stress in each part of the shaft and the twist angle between gears B and D? (15 Marks) B. LBC
