Q46 Sliding carts [first understand the simpler problem 4.5.1 in the notes!] A cart slides along a frictionless surface in an easterly direction at a speed of 2.40m/s. The cart has a mass of 100kg, and it contains a person who has a mass of 60.0kg, as well as a medicine ball that has a mass of 15.0kg. The cart slides past an identical stationary cart containing a person of mass 70.0 kg caring a bowling ball that has a mass of 5 kg, also on the frictionless surface. When the carts are sidebyside, each person throws their respective balls into the other cart. The person on the moving cart pushes their ball in the north direction (in their reference frame) while the person in the stationary cart pushes their ball in the south direction. At the moment of release, both people see their ball moving away from their hands at a speed of 3.20m/s. The balls comes to rest inside their carts, and both carts continue on their way. Find the speed and direction of both carts after the medicine balls have been exchanged. Express the directions as angles that are north or south (indicate which) of east
