Q.8 Carbon monoxide and hydrogen are the raw materials to produce methanol. A gas stream of CO and H2 with 25mol%CO and rest H2 is available at 800mol/s,50C and 5bar. This stream is passed through a heat exchanger to achieve 220C. In order to heat this stream, a superheated steam at 300C,5 bar is fed in countercurrent way in the heat exchanger. The superheated steam leaves the heat exchanger at 150C, 5 bar. Determine the flowrate of superheated steam required in m3/s.
