QUESTION 1 [10 MARKS} 1.1 1.2 Ms. Uusiku posts a letter to TBA [Pty) Ltd with an offer to buy 1000 shares in the company. The directors agreed, and a letter informing her that the company would allocate the shares was posted in return. After they posted their letter of acceptance, but before she received their letter, she informs the company telephonically that she revokes the offer. Discuss the legal position of the parties. [5 marks} Lavinia, a 20-year old student, nds that she can save a lot of money by renting a room nearby the Polytechnic of Namibia instead of residing in the hostel. At the end of November 2021 she enters into a contract for the rental of a room for N5 500 per month from Mr. Williams. While visiting her parents over the December holidays, she mentions to them that she is going to stay in a room when she returns for her third year of studies. Her parents are totally against this idea. They feel that it is too dangerous for her to stay on her own and her mother is particularly worried about the fact that she will not eat properly if she stays on her own. Subsequently, they tell her to cancel the contract and move back to the hostel.
