The defect rate for each station is as follows ; 5% , 8% , 3% , 2% respectively . Compute the over the FTT rate for the glasses.

In doing so chips are created that control the auto-dimming feature on the rear-view mirrors. 500 chips are etched onto each wafer . At the end of the production line the circuits are tested and 10% typically fail. After passing the safety station a die ct the wafer into individal circuit boards and the bad circuit boards are scrapped . Next the individual chips are mounted into housing where another 4% typically fail. At the final point in the process when the mirrors are completed , they are tested one last time and typically 1% fail. What would be the FTT rate for the chips?
