Question:

1. Miranda lives in Tamworth, NSW and is a great fan of country music.

2. On 10 February 2024 Miranda found out that it had just been announced that Aria, her favourite country music performer, would be appearing at the East Coast Country Music Festival ("Festival") on 28, 29 and 30 March 2024. An update about Aria's attendance at the Festival and the times of her concerts was published on the Festival's website.

3. Aria is based in Nashville, USA and this was to be the first time she had toured and performed in Australia for more than 10 years.

4. The Festival is an annual event which runs on a site about 10 kilometres from Byron Bay, NSW over 3 days and features numerous sessions and performers. As Aria is a legendary country music performer, following the announcement that she would be appearing at the Festival, several other well-known performers announced that they would also appear and present sessions.

5. Miranda was excited at the prospect of seeing her musical idol and immediately purchased a premium ticket for the entire Festival from Sun Entertainment (Sun), the Festival organiser, at a cost of $600.

6. Wishing to make the most of the experience of seeing Aria live in concert, Miranda decided to treat herself to luxury accommodation in Byron Bay. She booked and paid for an executive suite at the Surfside Hotel for 3 nights, at a total cost of $3,000.

7. Before booking and paying for the accommodation at the Surfside Hotel, Miranda told the reservation clerk that she was only coming to Byron Bay because Aria had announced that she was presenting a concert at the Festival. Miranda said that she did not usually attend the Festival and would not be going if Aria was not appearing.

8. The reservation clerk at the Surfside Hotel told Miranda that the entire amount had to be paid in full and was non-refundable as accommodation was in high demand because of the influx of visitors attending the Festival. Miranda said, "sure, no problems" and paid the full amount for her hotel accommodation.

9. As the Festival site is about 10 kilometres from the Surfside Hotel, Miranda arranged with Lighthouse Limousines (Lighthouse) to transport her from the hotel to the Festival and back to the hotel each day. When making the booking, Miranda told the booking officer at Lighthouse that she was coming to Byron especially to see Aria at the Festival and needed to be transported to and from 2 the Festival site so she could attend Aria's concerts. Lighthouse quoted a fee of $100 per day, to be paid in full in advance. Miranda paid $300 to Lighthouse on 10 March 2024.

10. On 12 March 2024 news was received that Aria had fallen off the stage while performing in a concert in New Orleans, USA. She had been seriously injured and was hospitalised.

11. Sun announced that Aria would be unable to appear at the Festival and that she would be replaced by a rap musician, Snap-Z.

ADVISE Miranda as to whether any of the contracts between herself, Sun Entertainment, Surfside Hotel and Lighthouse Limousines can be discharged.
