Question 1 of 1 Question 1 10 points Save Answer A company has to process three types of documents (D1, D2, and D3) weekly. They can be processed in any of the company's two departments. The cost to process each document type, based on which department processes it, is shown in the table below. Department A has a weekly processing capacity of 1000 documents and Department B of 600 documents. There is an extra cost of $15 per document if it is processed in Department A and $10 if it is processed in Department B. On average, there is a demand of 400 D1 documents that need to be processed weekly, 500 D2 documents, and 600 D3 documents. Department Document A B D1 $3 $1.00 D2 $2.5 D3 $2.00 $2.00 $4.00 A. Clearly describe what the decision variables are. Include their unit (pounds, products, persons, etc.) and the values they can take (continuous, integer, or binary.) B. Show the 'algebraic form' [or standard form] LP model that can be used to optimize the total cost of distributing all documents to the departments to meet the company's weekly demand. The model must include the equations of the Objective Function and all the Constraints. (Note: You don't have to solve it.)
