Question 1: Please evaluate whether the project was successful or not and justify your answer . [up to "' 300 words ] Answer The implementation ofthe ERP within the HSP seemed at first to be into a good "run" as it had the support of the higher management, budget was ready and so on. But on the other hand having doctors and nurses with different opinions and being not in favour of the ERP system as it was going to take time for them to learn it, training and to get it 200% operational. Despite that they still accepted it and said okay if it is for the good of the HSP and our clients (patients) sure lets use it if it will help our lives and work flow, even though they still had some hesitations as they were used to pen and paper. Once the ERP was there and everything set up we could see two different groups with different opinion and we see that the implementation was not a 100% successful. What was the part that failed the most was the integration between patient care system and the rest of the systems that are not directly related to patient care. This has led us into the two different groups mentioned earlier meaning the clinical practitioners and administrative managers. In one hand the director of nursing department saying that they are really happy with it and in the other hand the managers being completely unsatisfied. The opinions are diversified and this is always the case but the most important part is that users felt as clients of ERP and not users at first. Therefore in my opinion we can not say that it was not a successful implementation but we can not say that it was unsuccessful either. From a technical point ofview it was successful and operational. To conclude here is what is stated out in the article, case study as well and which give us a clear answer to weather it was really successful or not. " Despite this, on analysing the degree of satisfaction of the users of the ERP system, in the case of the clinical personnel it meets practically 100% of thelr expectations, whereas those responsible for the management of the hospital are found to be rather less satisfied, as they have not seen their initial expectations fulfilled in respect of the system. " So yes the implementation was successful and it does meets practically 100% of the users expectations what happens in a second degree is a different story
