Read the following scenario and answer the questions that follow. Most Asian-Americans, Africans and African Americans note that there has been a spike in racism since Covid-19 outbreak. In the United States (US) most hospitals refused to treat Asian Americans and they were usually turned back from hospitals during the first wave of Covid-19 outbreak. African Americans suffered the same fate. In China, most hotels and supermarkets rejected and/or refused to assist Africans, claiming that they were bringing Covid-19, while individuals from countries such as US, Canada were allowed in the hotels and supermarkets. A Chinese anonymous source told the media that China has had negative feelings towards Africans long before Covid-19. Most Chinese believe that Africans are violent. In South Africa, the majority of blacks were also victims of police violence during lockdowns. Police were always in townships and not in Suburbs as they believe Africans are violent and need to be watched compared to other racial groups.

Lebo prefers to work with others on each task so they can share ideas and help each other before moving to a different task. Sammy on the other hand, prefers to split tasks so that each person knows what is expected of them. Sammy wants to be recognized for her work so she can get a promotion while Lebo wants her department and the entire organization to receive recognition.
