The vertical reinforcement in the web region of the wall consists of a single layer of HD12 at 200mm centres. The wall has been designed for a nominally ductile response (u = 1.25) and with a specified concrete strength of f. = 40 MPa (Precast). The design factored axial load (excluding self-weight) is N* = 200 kN and the horizontal force acting on the top of the wall is 120Kn (a) Check if the wall section satisfies the minimum vertical reinforcement requirements.
