Scenario A: The shop manager, Sofia, is new and is still learning the way MobileWorld works, having previously worked for a competitor. She is very good at completing the financial reports but does not seem to want to engage customers, often spending her time in the back office. You have noticed at least one young staff member, Jenny, standing around a lot, waiting to be told what to do. She smiles at customers and asks them if they need help and then directs them to one of the other two shop assistants for specific questions. She seems to know where everything is located and found products for Derek, another shop assistant, very quickly, as it seemed he didnt know where to look. Joanne, the other shop assistant seems very competent with her knowledge or contracts, as does Derek, but she seems a bit short when she speaks, and surprised that customers dont know certain aspects about the products.
Derek is friendly, and you notice several customers wait to speak with him rather than Joanne. Neither Derek nor Joanne seem interested in helping Jenny to learn.
