Question 2: The effectivity is March 12th. Yes or not, why?

Note 0: The critical path in the image is the longest sequence of tasks that must be completed on time in order for the project to be completed on time. In this case, the critical path is: 1. Design dataset for item 1269 (3 days) 2. Process Plan dataset for item 1269 (2 days) 3. Bill of Material dataset for item 1269 (2 days) 4. Manufacture item 1269 (4 days) Total days in the critical path: 11 days

Note 1: The effectivity is the date that item 1269 will be used in place of item 1234 to build the Wind Turbine (item number 9012).

Note 2: Wind Turbines build and ship the same day. The one unit of9012 currently in work will ship today.

Note 3: Calculation of Surplus (Based on 20 Day Implementation Plan):

Additional guidelines:

  1. There are no datasets dependent on previous datasets.
  2. As this is a priority 3 change, lead times to create or revise datasets differ from numbers used in previous workshops.
  3. All of the datasets for an item must be available before the item can start.
  4. All datasets for an item can be worked in parallel.
  5. All datasets should be scheduled to complete at the start date of the item they support.
  6. All resources required for the dataset work are available.
  7. All components in a parent-level item BOM can be worked in parallel.
  8. All datasets for an item can also be worked in parallel with the components in the items BOM.
  9. A parent-level item cannot start until all of its supporting datasets and components are available.
  10. The effectivity will be when the Application Order for item 9012 calls for the new items (the start date of item 9012).
  11. Since the CIB meeting is being held on March 1st, the critical path will begin on March 2nd.
