Some have hypothesized that that the higher ice cream consumption in this village is associated with the higher crime rates. A random sample of 10 individuals in this community was selected and they were asked how much ice cream they ate on average in the last 6 months (in pounds) and how many crimes they had committed in that same timeframe (higher values reflect higher rates of crime).
