Question 2 (15 MARKS Your Trust cash book balance as at 31 August 2020 reflected a debit balance of R25 238. The Bank balance on the same date was a credit balance of R26 682. A comparison of the Cash book and Bank statement for August 2020 reveals the following: 1. Interest in the amount of R3 408 on the favourable balance has not entered in the cash book. 2. A cheque for R1 679 issued on the 8 January 2020 has still not been presented to the bank for payment 3. Cheques totalling R15 992 have not been presented for payment to the bank. 4. A deposit of R3 463 made on the 31" August 2020 is not reflected on the bank statement 5. A cheque for R1 025 drawn on the business account has been erroneously paid by the bank from the trust account 6. A clients cheque for R15 318 has been returned by the bank marked unpaid/ refer to drawer and this amount appears on the bank statement only. 7. A deposit for R4 000 was incorrectly recorded in your cash book as R4 311. 8. A cheque for R8 000 was incorrectly recorded in your cash book as R8 482. You are required to prepare: 2.1 The Trust supplementary cash book for August 2020; and 2.2 The Trust bank reconciliation statement as at 31 August 2020
