Question 2: A n-butane-pentane mixture of 460 kmol/h containing 48 mol% of the light key is to be distilled in a fractionating column so that the distillate composition is 98 mol% (light key) while the bottom contains only 2 mol% of the light key. Assume that feed enters the tower partially vaporized with the vapour 80% mole fraction and the tower operates at 101.3 kPa. a) Produce the equilibrium data for this system using HYSYS software. An assignment box will be created on BrightSpace so that you would submit your HYSYS files. Your file should show the equilibrium data and diagram. The data then can be exported to Excel to solve for the rest of the problem. b) Determine the distillate and bottoms flow rates. c) Calculate the minimum reflux ratio. d) Determine the theoretical number of trays required at reflux ratio of 1.5 times the minimum. Show your work on a separate plot. e) How many trays required if the overall tower efficiency is 0.75? f) Determine the feed tray number and its exact location relative to that tray. g) If the Murphree tray efficiency for this tower is known to be 0.75 (with respect to the gas-phase), determine the actual number of trays need. Compare the number of stage with those obtained in part (d). Show your work on a separate plot, including the data used for plotting. You should submit 3 separate graphs for this question (one for part c, one for part d and one for part g), properly labeled
