QUESTION 2 Angie, a 17-year-old girl, and her cousin, Barbie, a 19-year-old girl, sneaked out from the college hostel for a date at a night-club with Charles and Donald. Angie later made an immediate complaint to her college principal that after the dance, at about 1 a.m., Charles outraged her modesty by force. Three days later, prompted by Angie, Barbie also made a statement to her teacher that, on the same night around 2 a.m., Donald had indecently assaulted her. The Prosecution, in preparation for the trial, intends to call three other witnesses, Emmy, Florence and Geena, to testify that they too have experienced the similar incidents of outraging modesty by Charles and Donald after having a date with them on the previous occasions. Discuss: i) Whether the statements given by the complainants may or may not be admissible against Charles and Donald. (10 marks) ii) Whether the testimony of Emmy, Florence and Geena could be admitted in evidence. (10 marks)
