Question 2 Explain with reasons the types of auditor's opinion that should be issued in each of the following situations. i. In conducting the audit of a construction company, the auditor identifies that the applicable financial reporting frameworks are in accordance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and the requirements of the Companies Act 1965. II. The auditor of Sigma Sdn Bhd has found that based on the audit evidence obtained and judgment, material uncertainty exists related to events or conditions which may cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue its operation. iii. The auditor has been appointed on 1 April 2015 and the financial year end is on 31 January every year. The inventory count is conducted once a year and usually at the end of the year. For the financial year ended 31 January 2015 , the auditor was unable to observe the physical inventories count. The effect of such misstatement is not so material and pervasive. iv. The company disagreed to capitalise RM1.5 million of property, plant and equipment, unrecorded RM2.6 million long-term liabilities and understatement of RM2.1 million of retained profit as advised by the auditor. The possible effect of the misstatement is so material and pervasive. v. The auditor found out that there has been no depreciation charged in the financial statements. The non-current assets had been overstated accordingly
