QUESTION 2 Linda is a budget director at the corporate headquarters of a worldwide computer chip manufacturer. Her group rolls up the budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the firm's supply chain. As Linda's group is working on the budget and forecast for the next fiscal year, she notices that a firm previously placed on the confidential internal "no contracting" list is back in the supply chain as a supplier. The firm was placed on the list by a directive from the US Department of Defense (DOD). She checks the most current list and finds the firm is still on the list. Linda e-mails her boss, the Vice President of Worldwide Supply Chain Operations, and asks her about this seeming violation of company policy and DOD directive. The next day, Linda's VP e-mails back and says she checked with the COO who said to "just roll with it." The firm on the list was the low bidder and the bid was necessary to make the "number" for next year. Linda is very concerned about a clear violation of not only the company's policy but also a Federal Government directive. After sleeping on it overnight, she O A. Prints out the e-mail from her boss, takes it home for safekeeping and approves the budget and forecast for next year. O B. Calls the company's Confidential Ethics and Compliance Hot Line and reports the problem. O C. Approves the budget and forecast and does nothing else. O D. Calls her sorority sister, who is an anchor at the local TV station, and gives her the story. O E. Sends a certified snail mail letter to the Board of Directors' Audit Committee Chair disclosing the problem. OF. Calls her close friend in the company's legal department to ask for advice
