Question 2 Pangi is an accountant with Dalema Enterprises Limited. He stays in a rented apartment in Kiwatule, a Kampala city suburb. The apartments belong to Babanda, who stays in UK. Recently. Mutata rented a neighbouring apartment and turned it into a night club. It is very popular with the youth. The club plays very loud music throughout the night. Pangi does not get sufficient sleep. He cannot concentrate at his work place because he is often dozing. There is a threat to terminate his services for poor performance. He has made several appeals to his landlord to intervene and save the situation but all in vain. Pangi is contemplating on taking action against Mutata in Courts of law for a tort of nuisance. However, his limitation is that the apartment is not his. 0n the edge of the house, there is a big tree whose branches are touching Pangi's house. They have become a conduit for snakes and mosquitoes which invade Pangi's house on a regular basis. The tree is on Malewa's plot. His appeals to Malewa to trim the tree have been ignored. Pangi is totally confused about his next course of action. On the other hand, Magote, the driver for Dalema Enterprises Limited who was talking on the phone while driving a company trailer. failed to negotiate a bend and rammed into Kabaja's house. It was completely destroyed. Kabaia dragged Magote to the police station. He was tested and confirmed drunk. Kabaia wants compensation for the destruction of his house. In another development, Dalema Enterprises Limited was approached by Katogo, aged 15. requesting to buy a video camera on credit from the Company. He promised to pay the money in one week's time. The credit facility was extended to Katogo but he has failed to pay back the two million shillings. When contacted, Katogo said that he did not have the money.
