QUESTION 2 Peacocks and milky stork are among the species of birds that are on the verge of extinction. As an effort to address this issue, a herd of peacocks and a herd of milky stork have been released at a national forest with a number of 2,500, respectively, for the largest population that the environment can sustain for each type of bird is 10,000. Suppose that the peacocks grow at a rate of 3.2 per generation and the milky storks grow at a rate of 3.9 per generation. i. Construct and describe the mathematical model that fit the given problem (you shall explain all the variables involved in the model). [2 marks] ii. Investigate and explain the stability and oscillation occurrence for both populations by looking at the derivatives of the models. [18 marks]
