Maintaining the records on paper has proved difficult, and it has become necessary to have a computerised system that manages these issues. The owner explained that in the current manual system, data security is lacking, the file-based system they use is misleading, it is time-consuming to gather information files, and general searching and managing records is getting more and more difficult with the increase in construction projects. Data redundancies and inconsistencies make the existing system inefficient and frustrating for users. All departments involve paperwork to manage their allocated construction projects. The existing system creates project management problems that lead to project completion delays. Delay in project completion does not just undermine the company's profit but also affects the company's reputation in bidding on new projects. The owner asked you to develop an Oracle Database Management System to replace the manual system. Named 'Construction Database Management System' (CDMS), this system aims to provide an easy solution to the owner as well as providing excellent security of data to all involved. After a few conversations and interviews with the owner, the owner advised that he wants to store in the database information about: Worker: Each worker has an ID, Name, Email Address, Home Address, and Mobile Number. A worker must be either a permanent worker or a casual worker. A permanent worker has a Yearly Salary, while a casual worker has an Hourly Rate.
