Uncollectible accounts are estimated to be 2.5% of sales. Unadjusted balances at December 31, 2015 were $280,000 in Accounts Receivable; $5,400 credit in Allowance for Doubtful Accounts; and $725,000 in Sales. Courtland Corp. prepared an aging analysis on December 31, 2015, that estimated total uncollectible accounts to be $18,600. At December 31, 2016, the General Ledger showed unadjusted balances of $255,000 in Accounts Receivable; $4,600 credit in Allowance for Doubtful Accounts; and $1,200,000 in Sales. Uncollectible accounts are estimated to be 4% of outstanding accounts receivable.
