Question 3 25 pts According to Gen Z, skinny jeans are out. Unfortunately, the Millennial Jeans Co. didn't get the news until it was too late - after they'd placed an order for 100,000 pairs of skinny jeans for their spring line. Now, there's some serious infighting going on between the CFO and the CEO. The CEO says they need to just cut their losses and re-invest in some updated denim (primarily straight leg and "mom" jeans), since they'll be losing money if they try to sell the outdated skinny jeans. The CFO, however, prefers a strategy of deeply discounting the skinny jeans and selling off as much of their inventory as possible. Is there a way they can both be right? (Hint: it might be helpful to think about how competitive the U.S. denim market is). The only way to enter data and code into an IBM mainframe computer in the '60's was with "punch cards", a piece of thin cardboard with holes punched out (I'll try and insert a picture below.) A single card would hold one line of code. A moderately complex program might require a stack of cards over a foot long. For many years IBM insisted that people who used one of their machines could only use punch cards purchased from IBM (they had various ways of enforcing the rules.) Explain why IBM might have insisted on tying the sale of the two goods. 11 1 111 1 11 1 Edit View Insert Format Tools Table 12pt " Paragraph ~ | B I U A QV TV
