The company is planning its cash needs for the 31 July 2020 month, being the last month of the financial year. Hlathi Products Inc. has been borrowing money during the first month of each quarter to support peak sales of back-to-school materials. Mr Hlathi is the chief executive officer of Hlathi Products Inc. The product costs are generally split equally into raw materials, direct labour and overheads and are paid in cash except for machine depreciation which amounts to 30% of the overhead expenses. 3. Furniture costing R75 million will be purchased in July and subject to an annual depreciation of 10% per annum. The supplier requires R30 million deposit on the furniture and balance to be paid monthly over the life of the furniture. 4. Cash selling and administration expenses are paid in the month they are incurred. 5. On 1 May 2020, the company borrowed R10 million from its bank as needed to bolster the cash account.
