If it is not acceptable, the card is ejected. If it is accepted, the customer is asked to enter their PIN number. The customer enters their PIN number. The ATM uses a remote web service provided by the central bank server to validate the PIN. If it is invalid, the card is ejected. Otherwise the customer is asked to specify the amount they wish to withdraw, or to cancel the transaction. If the customer chooses to cancel, the card is ejected. The ATM must call the central bank server to authorise the withdrawal. If it is not authorised the ATM asks the customer to specify a new amount or cancel the transaction. If the transaction is authorised, the ATM dispenses the money. At the same time it confirms the transaction to the central bank server, where the customer's account is debited. Once the money is dispensed and the account debited the customer is asked whether they wish to print a receipt. If they don't, the card is ejected.
