Question 3 Wendy was away on holiday when Malaysia was hit by a spell of hot and dry weather. Her neighbour Mariana notices that some of Wendy's flower plants were dying, so she watered them every day, finally saving them. When Wendy returned, she was very pleased and told Mariana that she would give her RM300 for all her trouble. Later, Wendy changed her mind as she was told by a friend that she was not legally bound to pay Mariana as her promise to pay did not take place before or at the time when Mariama performed her act of watering the plants, but instead it took place later.
