Question 4 (20 marks) Laboratory 4: Superposition Theorem Objectives: 1. Understand the principles of a Superposition Theorem 2. Determine the characteristics of a Superposition Theorem Equipment/Software: 1 Personal computer with up-to-date web browser. 2. Software: LTSpice. Theory Superposition theorem states that in any linear, bilateral network where more than one source is present, the response across any element in the circuit, is the sum of the responses obtained from each source considered separately while all other sources are replaced by their internal resistance. Superposition theorem is a circuit analysis theorem that is used to solve the network where two or more sources are present and connected. Report You should capture results based on each condition of your simulations and present them in your report. You may use "Print Screen" to capture your simulation results. You must also include the circuit diagrams that you have constructed from LTSpice. Your report should contain a short introduction, procedure, results you obtain at every stages of the simulation, discussion and conclusion. Using superposition theorem, find the value of output voltage Vo in the circuit below using LT Spice as condition given: 11 4A 12 R1 1 6A R2 Vo 3 R3 2. Figure 4a a) Find Vo when source 4A and 6V killed? Remove the I1 and V1 at LTSpice. Circuit Theory 1 V1 6V Run the simulation by performing the operating point analysis (.op) by clicking Simulate -> Edit Simulation Command DC op pnt. Measure the voltage at Vo b)Remove the 12 and V1 at LTSpice. Run the simulation by performing the operating point analysis (op) by clicking Simulate -> Edit Simulation Command DC op put. Measure the voltage at Vo c) Remove the 12 and 11 at LTSpice. Run the simulation by performing the operating point analysis (.op) by clicking Simulate Edit Simulation Command >DC op pnt. Measure the voltage at Vo d) Question: Compare the observation in a, b and c. Report You should capture results based on each condition of your simulations and present them in your report.
