QUESTION 4 REQUIRED (20 MARKS) Use the information provided below lo prepare the folowing for March and April 2024 4.1 Debtors Colection Schedule 4.2 Cash Budget (4 marks) INFORMATION (16 marks) The following information was provided by BN Traders: 1. The bank balance on 28 Feoruary 2024 is expected to be R100000 (unfevourable). 2. The sales figures for the first four months of 2024 are expected to be as follow: 3. Cash saies usualy make up 30% of the total sales. The baiance of the saies is on credit. (Separate entries are required for cash sales and colledions from credit sales.) 4. Credit sales are normally colecied as follows 4.130% in the month of the sale, and these debtors are entited to a 3% discount 4.265% in the month afler the saie The rest is usually witten of as bad debis. 5. Purchases from February io April 2024 are expected io be as follows: 6. Saxty percent (60%) of the cash purchases is subject to a 10% cash discount. Creditors are paid in the morth after the month of purchase. (Separale entries for cash purchases and payments ib creditors are required.) 7. The monthly salanes amount to R200 000. This includes the salary of the manager, R50 000. On 01 Aprii 2024 the salary of the managar is expected to increase by 8% and the rest of the employees by 10% 8. The ican balance is expected to be R360 000 on 01 March 2024. Repayments af R15 000 per month are made at the end of each month as per the loan agreement. Interest at 12% per annum on the loan balance is also payable at the end of each month. 9. Part of the buibing is subiet to a tenant. The iease agreement for the yaar ended 31 March 2024 refiecled the rental at R144 000 per year, payable monthy. The rental will incrase by 10% wth etfed from 01 April 2024 10.
