Question 5: (10 Marks, Word Limit: 400-600) Mr. Ziyad Al Sumri works with an advertising agency as a senior copy writer in Ad-vent LLC, a company based in the UAE. He knows English, French and Arabic. As a part of his job he is required to produce print advertisements for many products in several countries. However due to staff shortage he has been relying on Google translate for some of his writing tasks. Some of the clients in China, Brazil and Vietnam have been complaining that the advertisements by Ad-vent do not match their requirements and that some of the advertisements were in fact, embarrassing for the clients because of the content of the advertisements. In this regard, Mr. Ziyad meets you, Mr. Steve Pilson, a communication consultant requesting advice and suggestions.
