Overhead is applied to production at the rate of 80% of direct labor cost. Job#104 was completed on December 17, 20X2. Job#103 was completed on December 21 and the client was billed at cost plus 45%. All other jobs remained in the process. There is no beginning finished goods inventory on December 1, 20X2. Required: a) Determine the amount of overhead to apply to each job for the period. (3 marks) b) Calculate the cost of work-in-process at the end of the month. (2 marks) c) Calculate the cost of finished goods. (2 marks) d) The actual overhead for December was $41,100. Calculate the sales price and cost of goods sold for Job #103. (6 marks)
