Major Lazer is looking at a television manufactured by LifesGoodWhenThingsWork Television Company in Seoul, Korea, in the store of TrustEm Electronics, a retailing store in Port Villa for 50,000 vatu. Davo, the owner of TrustEm Electronics promises Major Lazer that the television set is of superb working quality because everything manufactured by LifesGoodWhenThingsWork is of the highest quality. Major Lazer then purchases the television set from TrustEm Electronics for 50,000 vatu and he takes the television home and installs it. However, after 5 minutes of watching television, smoke appears from behind the television set and the television stops working. Major Lazer is not happy and complains to Davo and asks for a refund of his 50,000 vatu.

However the owner of TrustEm Electronics says that he is just the retailer of the television set and is not responsible for whether the television set actually works or not. He advises Major Lazer that he should sue the company who actually manufactured the television set, and whom TrustEm Electronics contracted with to buy the television set from, being LifesGoodWhenThingsWork.

Does Major Lazer have any legal rights under contract law or not?
