QUESTION 4 With reference to the scenario below, explain fully whether Alvereen has entered into any credit agreements as defined by the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. Alvereen Leonard is a 35 year old lecturer at UNISA. She enters into the following agreements. On 1 September, she enters into a contract of lease with Eesa Fredericks to rent his (Eesa's) flat. On 5 September, she purchases a loaf of bread, 250g of cheese and 2 litres of milk from the comer cafe. She pays cash for these items. On 15 September, she lends a sum of money to her mother who promises to repay the amount within 6 months. On 20 September, Alvereen leases a car and the monthly instalment is paid by debit order. On the same day, she enters into an insurance contract to insure the car against theft and damage. On 25 September, her sister purchases a house which is covered by a mortgage bond. Alvereen signs the loan agreement as a surety. On 30 September, she does her monthly shopping at Woolworths and pays with her VISA credit card (15)
